We had a leak in the basement. From the ceiling. Onto many bolts of fabric. And we didn't discover it until they were well and truly wet. So Robbie is in the midst of trying to find the source. Please note the ceiling in the second photo, yes, that black rectangle. It's a big hole now. The table below was where all the fabric was "stored"........ It's all washed and dried now, but I need to find a place for it. I guess work harder faster and use it all up will be my mantra. Oh, and I only discovered the leak because I thought that there was some fabric I needed at the bottom of the pile for my 12btd piece.
Oh Dianne, that sounds just horrible. Thank goodness you did discover it though, before it turned into a huge catastrophe! I hope it all gets sorted out easily and quickly. You studio looks wonderful, by the way - even with a gaping hole in the ceiling! Best wishes, claire xxx
ReplyDeleteOh, how annoying. I hope Robbie finds the source of the leak quickly. We've had lots of water leaks here, but none where they can do much damage. I'm looking forward to having the main roof fixed!
ReplyDeleteOh no!!!! But your studio is under the main house! I hope Robbie finds the source very quickly. 'Thank goodness' for the 12 group and our challenges and causing you to discover it earlier rather than later. So sorry for you but you seem to have got stuck in and washed/dried the fabric already. Best wishes, H xxx
ReplyDeleteJust an update. It was the water hose for the fridge. Just a very small leak. So it's fixed now and all that's left is for Robbie to repair the ceiling damage one of these days! Thanks for all your kind comments. Yikes, I still have 6 days to get my act together!!
ReplyDeleteDianne, my heart goes out to you, I'm just pleased that you have found the source of the leak. The power of water is sometimes beyond belief.
ReplyDeleteSix days - you and me both then, and I've no excuse other than prevarication.
Water is so destructive . Hope it is all sorted and well done for managing a piece for 'windows 'despite the obvious chaos.
