Rebecca

This is based on a selfie that my daughter Rebecca took and I was inspired by the portraits that Münter used with the black outlining.  I confess that I haven't quilted the background.  But I'm not sure I want to or have to.  It's on an iron on batting so doesn't need it for stability.

    I agree.....i would most probably also have left the background unquilted. Great interpretation.

    What a great portrait of Rebecca. Love it. And if you haven't met her, trust me, it is a very good likeness. No, I wouldn't quilt the background either. Hilary

    Great portrait Diane. I like your interpretation of our artist's style and I agree I probably would have left the background unquilted.

    I think the background speaks for itself. Perhaps darker outlines here and there would be more like Gabriela's work.

    I agree that the background doesn't need quilting. The portrait is strong enough on its own and I think that more quilting would distract from it rather than add something.
