Design for a door

I decided to do a design for a door so went back to Art Deco and used one aspect of  a shape and the rest of it is my own.  It just evolved as I went along.  Appliqued and quilted.  I did enjoy doing it and had fun.

  1. Wow, love what you have done. The brightness of the colours lends it self for a wonderful stainglass window. Quilting tops.

  2. What an uplifting quilt. The colour choice changes the design completely don't they - from the formal sleek art deco black/gold. Love it. Claire

  6. Oh, yes, I like Phil's idea about stainedglass window. Wouldn't it be lovely. Well, it is lovely as is but would be good to use your own design again.

  7. I just love the design and the colours you have used .Each leaf has its own quilted pattern on it which adds great interest to the quilt as a whole and the background quilting finishes it off to perfection . It is a very lovely quilt.

  10. Amazing to see the source picture and the finished piece together, so different and so alike at the same time. As Alison says: exquisite. Great design and workmanship, Patricia.
