Blue Moon

I had a lot of fun with this one, never having done a circular piece before. The circle is 16" and I placed it in a 20" frame, which I think sets it off nicely.

This was my inspiration, Oil Patch Heart Beat, 2013, which really spoke to me.

    1. I used many pieces of commercial and my hand dyed fabrics collaged onto a background of blue silk and then heavily quilted. I meant to add a detail shot but forgot. Here is one

  7. This is an exquisite piece of work. I can't imagine how long it must have taken to collage all the pieces and then quilt it. Altogether beautiful - you should be proud. I love the fact that you have presented this piece in a circle which adds to the overall look.

  10. Stunning. Superb interpretation and one that suits your style of collaging fabrics and colour perfectly. I agree that you should think about round pieces in the future.
