Decorative Fence

It was beyond me to go metaphorical but in my search for interesting fencing I looked at fences in my home area (not very inspiring) and then on the internet. There I found pictures of fences which had been decorated in a number of ways. People are amazingly inventive. Anyway I then decided upon a typical fence which I decorated in my own way and had fun doing it. So here it is.

  1. I am so pleased you did this Rosemary because it was where I was headed when I picked the topic but somehow got sidetracked. It condenses the elements of fences I had seen walking around Auckland that I really liked - the picket fence and flowers growing over it and, to add to that, my idea of NZ at its finest - blue sky and green rolling hills! Great colours and execution.

  5. Love your piece - so bright and colourful and as always your stitching and quilting can't be faulted. I also looked at doing an unusual fence and saw some wonderful examples of fences made from various items such as ski blades painted colourfully and many more examples. Yours is so vibrant and fun and I really love it.

I will go and google painted fences now...

  7. I remember those fences and carvings on the porch of a friends house in Auckland. And you added some really fun colours. Very cheerful, just what we need right now.
