Mies van der Rohe - ten days to go

Even though this was  my chosen theme I've left it to the last minute. I chose Mies van der Rohe because I think the angles that run through his work make a wonderful basis for a quilt ... and maybe they will, one day. For now I've decided to go off in a different direction and am assembling pieces accordingly, let's hope I've given myself enough time!

  1. I'm assembling a piece - but have no idea if it will work - but, of course, have left no time to make anything else if it fails. Fingers crossed!

  2. A month ago I was floundering but a light bulb moment occurred and I am happy to say I am finished with a smile on my face.

  3. I'm really not very happy about my effort, but I haven't any other ideas. I've dyed the fabric, and after a second attempt (the first wasn't a success) I think it's ok, though I won't be sure until I rinse it out this afternoon. At least it shouldn't take me long to make, as it's fairly simple (I hope!).

  4. This was a tough one, but after a lot of thought and idea came to life. Happily it didn't take long to make! Looking forward to seeing what everyone made of this difficult challenge.

  5. Add me to the 'last minute brigade'. I had an idea then misplaced the fabric (haven't found it yet), found a substitute and proceeded. There are parts I am struggling with but, fingers crossed, I may be ready in time. Hilary
