My choice was to do a suspension bridge using the design the right way up and then upside down. The wavy blue pattern on each side of the bridge indicates the water flowing under the bridge. Here is the final piece.
Your approach is very clever and I do like the way in which you have executed the water and it gives a very definite view of the suspension bridge from underneath. Your quilting is as always absolutely beautiful.
Well, I find it hard not to think of the Gold Gate Bridge when I think suspension and your choice of red, white and blue certainly reinforces that. Throw in a star or two and you would have a striking contender for a new flag for the USA!
Very clever, Rosemary. Quite striking and very effective. Your quilting is beautiful as always.

ReplyDeleteI like the way you have abstracted the design of your bridge. It's very striking.
ReplyDeleteI like your ability to abstract an object. The colours, the design and the quilting are all great.
