Deconstructionism . I did not enjoy this challenge much but can understand why architects needed to expand on their designs of straight up and down buildings . I wonder how the buildings function inside . Hopefully the office spaces are on the level!

I Love your colours and the quirky shapes you have put together. I also wondered about these deconstructed buildings and how they managed to get everything "straight" inside!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Pat - great colours and very quirky! The black stitching for the 'bricks' really emphasises the design. I spent a long while looking at my chosen building working out how they had managed to use flat sheets of glass for the windows in such a curvy shape. It would be fascinating to know what these buildings are like to visit and work in.
ReplyDeleteWell done for making such a great quirky and happy piece of work, from a challenge you didn't enjoy. Lovely colours too. Hope you are happy with the result.
ReplyDeleteWell done and I also enjoy your bold colours and quirky shapes. Sorry I took you and the rest out of your happy spaces.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed this challenge Phil and was happier with my finished piece than I have with some of our recent challenges.
DeleteI really enjoyed this challenge!
DeleteI too enjoyed it, though at first I was a bit lost, and I'm pleased with my piece (just need to bind it).
DeleteGreat that you got such a good result from something you didn't enjoy! I love the colours and the simplicity - which, in actual fact, isn't simple because it must have been tricky to get the curves and skewed lines all working so well together!
ReplyDeleteNicely done Rosemary. It's a fun piece to look at with it's disorder!
ReplyDeleteI love the colours. I also like how you have used the shape of the building, something that I found difficult to visualise how I could use them when I was looking at some of the photographs.
ReplyDeleteWow Rosemary, this belongs in a Child's story book - the colours are so bright and cheerful! Very simple and yet effective.
