When we got the title "Botanical" I immediately thought of some beautiful little succulents we have in our garden which we call Desert Roses, which started me on a quilting journey using these little beauties in a totally abstract design. My design is an abstract design which stemmed from these succulents, set out below:

What a gorgeous piece you have created It is very complicated and intricate. . The turquoise and pink of the flowers and leaves show up beautifully against the graded grey background. I also like the dark binding which contrasts with the curved pink shapes within the quilt . Well done .

I looked at your quilt I wondered about the turquoise colour, but when I looked back at your photo of the plants, I realized that I hadn't registered them as being a blue: thank you for making me look more closely and not just assume leaves = green!
