This is my interpretation of the theme. I chose Holly, Ivy and Mistletoe as they’re all native to Britain and are winter plants.
I used Neocolour crayons and coloured pencils to draw and colour the plants. The background colour is Procion dye. I’ve then mounted on felt and free motion quilted.

You have created such an interesting piece Bren. I liked seeing all the different leaves and the few red berries scattered throughout against the mottled blue background . You must have had fun creating this. From Rosemary

ReplyDeleteBren I really loved the fact that you used plants native to the UK and chose the perfect time to use these in your design. Really love the mottled background which added interest and made the greenery stand out so well, together with the red berries which added an extra pop. Well done on a delightful piece.
