Shades of grey

I wasn't quite sure what to do with Lundstøm's work.  I loved his colours, but found him very stylized.  So I thought I would work with one of his palettes - greys leading to almost white and he seemed very fond of oranges.  So here is a stylized log cabin with oranges.

  1. I also think that Lundstrom is ,in many respects ,hard to interpret but you have managed to recreate his style and his love of contrasting orange with the cooler palette . Really like this and as a cushion it works very well .Rosemary

  2. By the sounds of things, which we will find out as the different pieces emerge, Lundstrom certainly stumped some of us. Clever route you have taken Dianne. Love the contrast orange.

  3. I think you captured his style very well, Dianne - the orange circle sing out just as they do in his paintings and the quirky log cabins are perfect. And on top of it all you have something useful.

  5. It's not a cushion yet, just a very wonky shape!

  6. Interesting to find your chosen subject difficult for others to interpret. I think you have done well Dianne, the colours are perfect.

  8. I really like your choices with the cooler colours contrasting so well with the orange. The fact that you used straight lines in your background greys with the rounded shapes in the orange placed on top of the greys made it a really great composition.
