Illusive Blue Challenge

What a great colour this turned out to be. Now that I have been looking for it, this illusive blue can be found working its magic in many ways, pulling luminosity out of the most somber shadows or creating dimension. A hard working colour in small quantities, that I am glad to rediscover.

It helped to continue a series of  collograph monoprints, from last summer,  and to finish a second series of woven landscapes using my embellishing machine. I am starting to enjoy working with the colour themes more with each colour so bring on the next one!!!

  4. We were able to see hese pieces at our Text'art meeting this past week and I really like them. It's interesting to see in these as well as the other posts how the blue works so well with so many different colours.

  6. As Phil said - a very interesting piece. It looks like reflections it is so delicate and takes going back to several times to get its essence. It is amazing how well this colour goes with so much, and gives so much to a piece.

  8. Can't imagine the felted piece without those flashes of periwinkle blue! But I absolutely love the collaged piece - so subtle. Keeping zooming in for more. Hilary

  10. Please teach us how to make your collagraphs!! The randomness and use of black makes a very interesting piece! Also, love your landscape....felting these strips together is brilliant!
