That is a beautiful piece of art. I am so thrilled for the two if you. Stunning blue fabric behind (wish I could see a sky that colour after the monotonous grey ones we've had for so long!). Are some of the petals and leaves three dimmensional? I love the way the leaves and stalk escape from the picture. Great composition.
The the leaves and petals contain hundreds of different pieces which are collaged onto a backing, then quilted, and then applied to the background, which I dyed and quilted before we added the flower and leaves. Thanks for the lovely comments!
