Sea sketch with seagull
I originally made this quilt for the Wilhelmina Barnes Graham challenge on our series on artists ( 12 By the Dozen ), but always felt it was a little boring, as it didn't have a focal point. I thought about maybe adding a seagull to it, but I never got round to it. So this was the ideal opportunity to try it out. The appliqued seagull is coloured with inktense.

ReplyDeleteJinnie I really like the way you have used the inktense pencils on your bird to such good effect. If you had tried to use only applique it would not have been nearly as effective. So well done. It is a lovely piece of work and I enjoyed seeing it. From Rosemary.
Jinnie I really like your seagull and the background colour. Well done on using Intense pencils as sometimes we get more depth when using either paint or pencils such as you have done so well.
