and the next Challenge is........

                                                     "DECONSTRUCTIVISM"

'This is a movement of postmodern architecture which appeared in the 1980's .  It gives the impression of the fragmentation of the constructed building commonly characterized by an absence of obvious harmony, continuity, or symmetry.'

  1. OMGoodness! And me with my architectural background had never heard of it!!!! So can I submit a half finished looking quilt as my piece? Haha. It's Hundertwasser/Dali/Magritte/et al all gone crazy.

  3. Oh help!! I can't even spell the word. This is going to be a very hard challenge for me. All my design work centers round harmony, continuity and symmetry.

  4. I've just started reading an article about deconstructivism, and found this sentence - It is the unleashing of infinite possibilities of playing around with forms and volumes. I'm feeling much happier now!

  5. Well spotted Linda. You are all having an unnecessary panic attack. We have deconstructed dishes in the foodie programmes so lets deconstruct a building and use the forms and volumes. Have fun.

  9. Well done Amanda on knowing what you are going to do - I haven't a clue at the moment and I am definitely going to have to mull for a while over this. Wow Phil you are certainly making this a most interesting and thought provoking challenge
