Does it have to be...

Not sure whether this is the right spot to ask this question - .... BUT: does it have to be a picture/painting by the artist that is used as an inspiration for a challenge, or could it be anything about the artist that sets off inspirational process?
Thanks for feedback/discussion of this item.

  1. I think that how we are inspired by a particular artist is how we should proceed. We don't necessarily have to pick a painting/art work. I can't remember which post it was but Helena did a portrait of the artist. What say the rest of you?

  2. I agree Dianne. It was Sheeler - I did a portrait of him, using his palette.Ours is an artistic non-literal challenge - to be inspired by the artist in some way.

  3. I also agree with Dianne. It is how the artist inspires you, given our size and medium parameters. Our group is so diverse and unique that our artistic results are always amazing! Enjoy!
