Shock and amazement...

... I'm finished and it's days away from the deadline. When Heather posted her challenge colour my immediate response was 'I don't do green!' but looking back on my pieces for
12 By the Dozen it seems that I do, in small quantities:

  1. Surprising, isn't it?! I must say I don't think I was alone in thinking 'yuk' but that's the challenge. And I am really pleased to say that at the eleventh hour I have a 'cunning plan' (apologies to Baldrick). What a relief.

  3. Just before this colour was announced I had tried out a new fabric paint in this colour and have been umming and aahing (not sure if that's spelled right!) about how to put them together. I think I've got a workable idea now.

  4. I have finished mine too, but it is so strange how other colours "change" the original grren I was working with. You will see what I mean on the 30th! According to the colour we were given (which I love as it is a wonderful zinger) it looked exact but changed with the background colour I used. Interesting.

  5. Patricia, I am having exactly the same surprises in my piece - colours changing according to what they're next to. Isn't it fascinating?

  6. I'm finding the same thing. The other colours are making it look yellower than I know it is. I know that our perception of a colour can change when it is next to another colour, but it seems to be really noticeable with this one.
