Prague: Little Quarter

Prague: Little Quarter
Ever since my visit to Prague this past October, I have wanted to bring to life one of my many photos of the city's architecture.  I decided this was the perfect subject for our Sand challenge. Below is the original photo for comparison.

  1. You have captured the important facets of the photograph so well, as you always do, and homed in on the centre of the picture which is in perfect proportion. Love the lines of the roofs and windows as well.

  2. Creating the depth perception must be such a challenge in your pieces, you have done it so well.

  3. You are the master of knowing exactly what to include and what to leave out! The focus is right there in the lighter area. Spot on.

  5. I like this one Heather. The colour combination, and the way the church is subtly emphasized.

  6. I continue to enjoy the way you have chosen to portray the window elements in these stunning architectural settings. Nice pic too! Were you standing on the roof?

  8. I'm really enjoying watching your technique develop. Is it my imagination or are you using line more to suggest what the viewer might see?
Also like the change in the shading of the building to give the piece a stronger focus.
