Come Sit with Me, Patrick Caulfield |
Delighted to learn that my work has been juried into a show at the Montreal gallery, Beaux-Arts des Amériques, 3944 rue St.-Denis.
Forty artists, forty works in a variety of media, all in a 16 x 16 format on the theme Still Life: Re-visited.
January 29 - March 14, 2015, with a vernissage on February 7, noon to 5 p.m.
I was lucky enough to see the Patrick Caulfield show at Tate Britain in 2013. His work is mostly still life and interiors, distinguished by a strong black line and bold, solid colours. Hence the title of this piece.

AND three of my Cityscapes have been accepted into the Annual Juried Show hosted by the TAG Gallery, 168 Pitt Street, Cornwall, ON.
Forty-four artists, 88 works in various media.
January 31 - March 6, 2015, with an official opening at 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 31. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three entries and visitors are encouraged to vote for Viewers Choice, to be announced at the end of the show.
It's satisfying to see work in fibre being accepted into general art shows. In fact, I think some jurors are happy to have something a little different amidst all the oils and acrylics.
Well done Heather!
