Just a quick update on the wedding that took place down the road ...... no I did not attend as I was battling with a chest infection (do not think they would have appreciated that) and my son and daughter-in-law arrived for the weekend.

However ,  I did take a walk and captured the bride waiting on the road with her entourage.  Not sure why and they did eventually make their way inside to a large tent on the property.

Disappointingly she was not in traditional dress but some of her family were.   Whether the traditional part had taken place earlier and now she had changed I do not know.  The groom was nowhere to be seen.  For those of you who do not know, the 'clocks' in Africa work very differently when it comes to functions and celebrations.  The two ladies, one behind the bride and one just out of the picture on the left, were her bridesmaids. Having said all that the bride looked very regal and pretty and her dress was lovely.

  1. thanks for another great pic phil
a 'white wedding' is very special and aimed for by many of the south african tribes. usually the traditional wedding is first but having a white wedding is considered 'tops1'
