Don't let my comment about buildings put you off! It's not the buildings themselves that are obvious - it would be my interpretation of them, I'm afraid I'm very literal. And without giving too much away the source I have chosen is not too dissimilar from one of your images. Wish I'd thought of a tube map, by the way
You've pulled out 4 of my ideas!! However, I have chosen a variation of one of them which will hopefully work. It's interesting to consider all the possibilities. As I was driven back from the ski hill yesterday (which meant my eyes and mind could wander!) i checked out tree formations, hydro pylons, corn stalks in the snow, snow on trees at the top of the mountain (and no camera :( to capture the moment). So you have given me lots more reason to be observant.
