Started the year by ticking off one more wish on my bucket list. The in thing in SA at the moment are these forest canopy tours. They take you to the top of the mountain and you slide between platforms until you get to the bottom. On this particular tour there were 8 slides. Fortunately the weather held on for us before the mist came in but unfortunately it meant all the bird life had disappeared and settled in for the afternoon. Still thrilling but not very flattering.

  1. Glad to see you were 'connected'. Would you have had time to see any birds? It looks scary but exhilerating.

  2. WOWWWWW - on your own, on your own, on your own!! LOL!! Nice to see the canopy, but not my preferred form of transport.

On my morning walks this week I've seen a Channel Billed Cuckoo begging and being fed by a family of Choughs, a family of Glossy Black Cockatoos, a red bellied black snake and a hare... mostly on different days, but always exciting, and better for no other walkers, dogs or cyclists ;-D Catchya Rosie

  3. The view must be incredible! How many steps did you have to climb to get to the top? What's next on the list? You have my utmost respect and admiration...I can hardly take an elevator ride if it is glassed in...rumbly tummy syndrome.
