Welcome Beth. Beth is a friend of Phil's and lives in Durban, South Africa. I will let Beth introduce herself to you all, but here is a lovely picture of our newest member.
Incidentally, how are your Book titles progressing? Mine is yet to be started, but I do have a title and 'a cunning plan' (apologies to Baldrick).
Bestest,
H xx
Welcome to Beth: it's good to have a new member. I've got my book title quilt planned, and am now trying to get the right mix of fabrics. I've spent this morning printing some fabrics for it : some successful, some not. I'm not sure yet if I'll be using them, it all depends how they fit in with other choices, though they will come in useful for other things I'm thinking of if I don't use them..
ReplyDeleteHi everyone, I’ve been quilting for a good few years, but not sure that I have any particular style. I do love handwork both applique and quilting which mean I make mostly wall quilts. So when machine-piecing a bed quilt I get someone else to quilt it – machine quilting is just not in my skills set (and at the moment have no desire to learn). I am at the moment running Youth Workshops (7 to 13 years) , once a quarter for KZN Quilters Guild and enjoy sharing my love of sewing and quilting with these young people.
ReplyDeletePS: Not sure why it doesn't have my name at the top it's Beth Barkus
