And on Earth, Peace....

Above is an image of my Christmas card for this year, sent as a post card to perhaps two dozen family and friends. The angel is from a photo taken at a Montreal cemetery, transferred with TAP onto painted cotton and finished with some stamping and stenciling. Backed with Timtex and paper, then zigzag finished.

Christmas dinner is just a memory now, and a fridge full of leftovers. We were lucky enough to have our four children here, two with boyfriends in tow. We know we won't always be blessed with a full table for the holiday dinner, so we are grateful for it now. Our niece announced her engagement as the family gathered, which made it very special.

Warm wishes to all of you and your families for a festive holiday season.

  1. Love the imagery - the Angel trumpeting good tidings (and heralding in a New Year?) clocks marking the passing of another year and music to raise spirits.

Sounds like your Festive celebrations were special. Hope the same can be said of everyone else's.

Here's to another good year of shared joys and successes. Anyone dare to admit to having finished their Steps yet?!

  3. a beautiful card heather - beautifully composed. you obviously used your photoshop techniques as well enabling you to transfer this wonderful image. just got back from israel having celebrated the wedding of a cousin's son on jan 2nd. we postponed new year's festivities till then (i guess if they celebrate new year's eve in disney world every night, we can postpone it by a day). you are so right when you speak of the privilege of celebrating with family - this wedding was one of those.
a good year to you all
