The group blog of four quiltmakers and textile artists scattered around the world in 4 countries and across three continents.
Our aim is to create a small quilt every three months.
The theme is chosen by the members in turn.
Our website is: www.12bythedozen.weebly.com
I am happy to report that I have finished mine! Yay! This subject was quite a challenge and of course it had to have an African theme! I am so looking forward to seeing what everyone has done.
Do you remember how I cavalierly said that I hoped my piece would "make itself" from photos taken in Quebec City? Ummm, hasn't happened quite like that.
This has been a real 'treat' of a theme. It has pushed and pulled in all directions from hope and excitement to dispair and frustration.
I feel for you Heather - having publicly stated I would try a new technique. How many times did I wish I could have gone down an old, safe, familiar route... But I am happy to report that like Patricia, I am finished. Good feeling, isn't it?!
Grrrrrr...whilst I am happy for my dear quilting sisters that have announced that they are finished, I must say that my piece is still incubating...but always thrilled when it is in the "done" stage! Can't wait to see the wonderful creative projects...it's like Christmas 4 times a year!
Can't wait to see it, Patricia.
