Podium

I was delighted to finally use a circle cutter that I've had for a couple of years. I couldn't help but join the celebration of the Olympics and quilting.

  1. I must say I find working with my circle cutter difficult to say the least, so well done and a great tribute to the Russian Olympics and their honour of quilting .

  2. Like the Canadian flag peeking out at the bottom! I've not used one of those circular cutters, but am impressed at how accurate the circles appear.

  3. I'm impressed with the accuracy of the circles - there is no way my cutter would have achieved that. The mischief in me would have put a red dot in place of the ring to remember the malfunction at the Opening Ceremony - the fact that the Russians made a play on that at the Closing Ceremony was terrific.

Did you fuse WonderUnder or a stabilizer to the fabrics before you cut the rings out?

Another delightful tribute to the Canadian Winter Olympic team.

  9. Lovely idea to celebrate the Olympics - I love watching on TV as it is so fascinating to see all the winter sports that we would never ever have here. A fresh and colourful interpretation. Your circles are perfect - well done.
