Announcing the first round of our new challenge:

It's not black -

 it's ............

EGGPLANT!!

Enjoy this wonderful, rich, color.  It is great alone, looks wonderful  with its analogous colors or with it's complement. I love it with pistachio (chartreuse).

Enjoy creating your masterpiece with this exciting color. Remember we have a new format - A4/US letter size; vertical or horizontal.  Looking forward to seeing the results at the end of May!

  5. I was actually getting geared up to work with black!! But this will be a challenge for me. Love the colour, but not something I usually work with.

  8. we were privileged to enjoy a visit to a fabric warehouse yesterday organized by heather. this was our monthly text'art meeting which was followed by lunch and an amazing show and tell at my house. walking through rows and rows of a clean, well organized, beautifully displayed warehouse sure got my creative juices going. being there definitely affected my choice - thanks again heather. thanks to helena for helping me to shop LOL, and thanks to all my 12bythedozen and text'art friends - you all feed my creative soul and i love you all for that!

  9. Oh my, this is going to be interesting ..... I love the idea of combining the colour with chartreuse but will obviously have to think of something else!

  10. Why do you have to think of something else? Chartreuse and aubergine e sound absolutely wonderful. Go for it.

We voted to have as much of the colour in our pieces as we fancied. That means we can add other colours surely?

I think this is going to be really interesting on reveal day - 31st May.
